Grauman's Chinese to be Major IMAX!

Story: Grauman's Chinese Goes IMAX - L.A. Times

The former Grauman's Chinese Theatre, arguably the most famous cinema in the film world, will become one of IMAX's preeminent venues! The theater will become the location where IMAX will premier many of their high-profile action movies.

Chinese TV maker TCL bought the naming rights to the Chinese earlier this year. Previously, it was owned by Mann's for decades, and was originally founded by Sid Grauman in 1927. The theatre is famous for its movie star hand prints in cement out front, its famous China-inspired facade, and its popularity with tourists.
